ROCKY HILLS, Conn.-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. reported a five-year sponsorship agreement with the University of Connecticut Division of Athletics, designating Cingular as the official wireless provider of the university’s athletics. The agreement provides Cingular exclusive wireless recognition at athletics events held at Rentschler Field, Gampel Pavilion and the Hartford Civic Center.
“We believe this partnership not only solidifies our relationship with Cingular Wireless, but also creates additional opportunities for growth within our athletic department,” said Lew Perkins, director of athletics at the University of Connecticut.”
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
