TORONTO, ON–(Jan 28, 2014) – Galtronics Corporation Ltd., a Baylin Technologies company, announced today the commercial availability of its smallest in-building MIMO iDAS antenna, PEAR™ M5542i, for value engineered 4G LTE in-building environments. The PIM Certified, low profile, mixed polarized, ceiling mount Omni directional antenna supports MIMO in the 698-960 MHz and 1710-2700 MHz bands, which covers LTE frequency ranges worldwide.

“We are proud to introduce our new LTE/MIMO small size iDAS antenna and add it to our leading edge PEAR product line,” said Galtronics CEO and President, Ephraim Ulmer. “This patent pending new product is a testimony to our continued innovation and investment in R&D.”

“With the M5542i, Galtronics is introducing an in-building MIMO antenna which — due to its small size — can be used in low- and high-ceiling applications,” said Tobias Eger, Product Manager at Galtronics. “We are happy to have received confirmation by major carriers in North America, that the M5542i antenna will be used for their small cell in-building deployments as well as indoor DAS solutions.”

The carrier-approved PEAR™ M5542i has met and exceeded specifications in live North American and Asian deployments and its RF performance can be simulated by tools such as iBwave. Additionally, the PEAR™ M5542i is commercially available for immediate shipment from Galtronics U.S. facility located in Phoenix, Ariz., and other locations globally.

Technical specifications include:

  • Frequency Range on both ports: 698-960 MHz and 1710-2700 MHz
  • Gain [dbi]: Low band 1.5 – 3.0: High band 3.5 – 6.0
  • Certified PIM performance of less than -150 dBc @ 2x 20W
  • Diameter: 8.19″ (208mm)
  • Height: 2.83″ (72mm)
