STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson finalized the sale of its stake in joint venture Ericsson Panda Mobile Terminals Co. Ltd. in Nanjing, China, to Microcell S.A., and concluded a patent license agreement with Huawei Technologies for network equipment.
Under terms of the agreement, Ericsson granted Huawei Technologies a non-exclusive, non-transferable license under Ericsson’s Wideband-CDMA/UMTS standard.
Ericsson also said Cable & Wireless selected it as the sole supplier of equipment and services for a GSM/GPRS network deployment in Panama. The network is expected to launch in the fourth quarter.
