MUNICH, Germany-Five companies have agreed to work together to develop mobile commerce security standards for Flash memory cards.
Hitachi Ltd., Ingentix GmbH &Co., Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., ScanDisk Corp. and Toshiba Corp. believe the new set of security features called Mobile Commerce Extension Standard will help Flash memory cards enhance such applications as secure data transfer, content purchase and electronic payment.
