ATLANTA—Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced a new remote monitoring system for cdmaOne or cdma2000 wireless networks that it said lowers expenses for service providers and increases efficiency for technicians at this week’s Supercomm show in Atlanta.
The Agilent solution is made up of two systems. The Agilent Base Station Remote Monitoring System monitors network performance and alerts the operator if problems occur, while the Agilent Air Interface Remote Monitoring System collects RF performance data from measuring probes located throughout the network to optimize the networks.
“Agilent’s remote monitoring system represents a fundamental change in network monitoring, resulting in significantly reduced operating costs and improved quality of service,” said Eric McHenry, vice president and general manager of Agilent’s wireless network test division.
