BEDMINSTER, N.J.—Verizon Wireless installed a number of new cell sites to enhance network quality in parts of Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.

The Illinois upgrades involved the installation of two cell sites in Mattoon and Kinmundy, which are expected to improve digital and analog coverage along Interstate-57 and State Route 16. Verizon Wireless also increased digital capacity in six sites around Champaign and two sites in Bloomington.

In Indiana, the carrier added a cell site in Howe, which Verizon Wireless said would improve digital and analog service along Indiana Toll Road I-80/I-90 and State Route 120.

Verizon Wireless also added a cell site in Davenport, Iowa, which the carrier said would increase network coverage in surrounding communities and along I-80, I-280 and U.S. Highway 61 west of Davenport.
