Although most Taiwan-based notebook makers and related component makers are establishing new production lines in inland (Western) China to resolve their employee shortage issues, while cutting costs, sources from smaller component makers pointed out that they are still facing difficulties fill their labor needs, while the pressure of losing orders if they do not coordinate with their downstream notebook manufacturing partners and move inland, is also pushing the smaller component makers to reconsider their plans.
