BEIJING—Hong Kong’s CSL and Hutchison Telecom started offering services that enable corporate customers to use mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs) to access intranets, e-mail and contacts. Users can gain access using General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)-enabled devices, such as Research In Motion’s BlackBerry.
But Marisa Kwok, CSL director of market and operations, told the South China Morning Post that the solution is still new, and many Hong Kong companies are currently conservative about spending. They are interested in the new services but remain worried about security.
