Logica expands messaging services

DUBLIN, Ireland—Messaging company Logica continued to expand its range of messaging products with the release of its Mobile Community Messaging services, which the company said will allow users to form mobile chat sessions, instant message family and friends, and conduct polling and voting.

The company said it will bundle the services with its Telepath Short Message Service Centre for sale to carriers.

“SMS has revolutionized person-to-person communication and is a key revenue driver for mobile operators,” said Gerry McKenna, the company’s chief executive officer. “We believe that our community messaging services will even further increase operator’s profitability and SMS traffic by encouraging communities and groups, such as, families, clubs, societies and charities, to use messaging in innovative ways.”
