BANGALORE, India—Texas Instruments (TI) is holding an OMAP Technology Summit here with more than 150 executives and developers attending to discuss the future of 2.5-generation (2.5G) and third-generation (3G) mobile communications.
“With its large and highly skilled technical population, India has the opportunity to play a major role in developing 2.5G and 3G applications,” said Gilles Delfassy, senior vice president and general manager at TI’s wireless terminals business unit.
