Ecuadorian National Telecommunication Corp. (CNT in Spanish, from Corporación Nacional de Telecomunicaciones) announced that it will invest US $8.2 million in order to construct fiber-optic infrastructure.
According to government, there are 34 projects focused on development of telecommunications in the country, covering 21 processes that aim to build 401 kilometers of fiber optics.
The provinces that will benefit are Azuay, Bolivar, Canar, Cotopaxi, El Oro, Esmeraldas,Guayas, Loja, Los Rios, Manabi, Morona Santiago, Napo, Pichincha and Tungurahua.
