Symsoft | January 11, 2011 | Press Release
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, 11th January 2011 – Symsoft, a leading supplier of charging and messaging solutions, today announced that a major telecom operator in Latin America has deployed Nobill Online Charging System for advanced charging.
Symsoft has been awarded a contract with a major operator in Latin America to provide charging capabilities that enable the operator to build tariffs, bundles and campaigns to reach specific subscriber segments. The Nobill Online Charging System (OCS) includes policy and charging control that makes it possible to provide a full array of services to mobile subscribers.
In the last few years, mobile penetration in Latin America has been increasing considerably, with a massive growth in subscriptions. Wireless Federation estimated that mobile connections in the Americas would reach 550 million by end of 2010, which translates to a penetration rate of 93%.
Increasing penetration drives competition between operators. To succeed in the marketplace, it is essential to have a charging solution that allows for the rapid creation of attractive offers and keeps an updated view of transactions. At the same time, the solution must be easy to expand and simple to maintain and configure.
Nobill OCS offers flexibility so that operators can focus on growing their business without being limited by technological constraints. Used by operators all over the world, Nobill OCS meets up to the challenges that operators are facing today. With a short time-to-market for new services and an unrivalled total cost of ownership for operators with advanced needs, it gives operators the ability to embrace new revenue opportunities and improve their competitive positioning.
“Symsoft has been working closely with the customers since 2005 and has systems in operation in several countries in Latin America since 2006. This is an important step forward to create value for our customers and their subscribers, and we are now strengthening our market position in Latin America” says Mikael Calais, Managing Director for Symsoft Americas.
