SAN JOSE, Calif.—Sun Microsystems Inc. said it recorded a loss of $180 million in its third quarter results, or 6 cents per share, representing a 43 percent drop in revenue.
The company enjoyed a profit of $456 million, or 14 cents a share, in the same period last year.
