HACKENSACK, N.J.—GoAmerica Inc. will provide wireless Internet service to all of Canadian wireless carrier Rogers AT&T Wireless’s GSM/GPRS subscribers, a move that greatly expands the relationship between the two companies and marks GoAmerica’s first move into 2.5-generation network technology.
Rogers AT&T, which this summer completed the installation of a GSM/GPRS network in 25 of the largest markets in Canada, said GoAmerica will offer wireless Internet services to any new customers or any of its 2.7 million existing voice customers who wish to add data services.
Since last year, Rogers AT&T has sold GoAmerica’s Go.Web services as a pre-loaded application in Research In Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry devices.
