SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif.—Starfish Software, which provides synchronization and infrastructure solutions for the wireless Internet, announced it has been granted a patent for its method of providing simultaneous synchronization of two or more clients in a data processing environment.
Specifically, Starfish said the patent is for its Grand Unification Database, or GUD, which is a central data store for users, and a component in another patent-pending architecture by Starfish that allows users to synchronize data among several devices, services and applications.
