ROANOKE, Va.-Nextel Partners announced the launch of a “four-in-one” digital wireless service, available in Roanoke, Lynchburg, Charlottesville and several other cities throughout the New River Valley and Shenandoah Valley areas of Virginia.
The service includes digital cellular, Nextel Direct Connect digital two-way radio, Nextel Wireless Web services and text/numeric messaging in one phone.
In conjunction with this launch, Nextel Partners will donate 10 wireless phones and free local service for a year to the Boys & Girls Club of Roanoke Valley, a total value of about $15,000, for improved communication and safety.
