LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-Alltel Corp. introduced two wireless plans allowing its Total Freedom customers to share minutes by adding additional phones to their accounts or pool minutes among multiple accounts.
The phone addition option allows customers to add another phone to a calling plan for $15 per month. The plans currently range from $40 to $200 per month.
Alltel said the pooling plan is designed primarily for businesses, with a minimum of five phones per plan required.
“For example, if a business has 10 wireless phones and each is on a 600-minute calling plan, they can pool their plans into one and have 6,000 minutes to spread among 10 users each month,” explained Philip Junker, executive vice president of marketing for Alltel.
