@Road, which provides location-enhanced wireless Internet solutions for mobile resource management (MRM), announced it will collaborate with Blue Wireless to develop voice-enabled solutions for the @Road LocationSmart Technology platform. By using Blue Wireless’ voice portal technology, @Road said its customers will have voice-based access to LocationSmart mobile resource management applications like FleetASAPSM, from any wired or wireless device. The first voice-enabled services @Road will offer include a voice messaging interface, a voice-alert system and voice-activated navigation and mobile yellow pages.

EMS Wireless, which provides radio frequency solutions, will open EMS Wireless do Brasil, a manufacturing facility in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil, approximately 200 miles south of Sao Paulo. EMS Wireless do Brasil will produce EMS’ complete line of panel antennas for sales throughout South America. The 20,000-square foot facility has the capacity to manufacture 500 antennas per week and claims it can double this capacity within three weeks. The company, which officially opened its doors on March 9, has already received its first antenna order.

Primal Technologies Inc. launched its free service, Fast Page, an enhanced paging option for personal communications services subscribers who have text messaging capabilities. Fast Page allows subscribers to send information directly from the Web. The service also stores numbers and addresses so users can directly and easily contact others.

Notify Technology Corp. and Motorola Inc. have joined forces to make Notify’s wireless desktop e-mail and personal information management solutions available under the Motorola brand for Motorola’s ReFLEX two-way messaging customers. According to the agreement, Motorola will brand and resell Notify’s NotifyLink Standard Edition and Professional Edition wireless desktop products as Motorola MyMail Desktop and MyMail Desktop Plus.
