ALEXANDRIA, Va.-American Express, MasterCard International and PacketVideo have recently joined the Personal Communications Industry Association’s Global Initiative.
PCIA’s program provides members with information, products and services to help them understand how mobile technologies will affect consumers and the marketplace. Companies from various industries are part of the initiative, which has more than doubled since its launch last fall. These companies “seek to understand the mobile consumer in key markets around the world, because no single industry sector, no single technology and no single country or regulatory environment will determine their success,” said Jay Kitchen, PCIA president and chief executive officer.
