Mondo features a high-powered 166 MHz Intel processor and a variety of Microsoft Corp. software products. It will initially be available in Europe.
Among the phone-PDA hybrid’s software offerings are Microsoft Outlook, Word, Internet Explorer, Excel and Microsoft Reader for e-books. Music fans can tap into MP3 files with the Windows Media Player.
Other personal digital assistant features include permanent Internet connectivity over GPRS networks, fax transmission capabilities, e-mail and access to street maps through Microsoft’s Pocket Streets.
