HELSINKI, Finland-Nokia Corp. announced 10 operators around the world now have commercial GPRS services based on Nokia solutions up and running.
The company said the next step will be to optimize GPRS networks for transporting WAP and other content.
The companies launching GPRS services are Fujian Mobile Communications Corp. in China; Cable & Wireless Optus in Australia; KG Telecom in Taiwan; DiAx in Switzerland; New World PCS and Pacific Century CyberWorks Mobility Services in Hong Kong; Centertel in Poland; EuroTel in the Czech Republic; M1 in Singapore; and Europolitan in Sweden.
