WebLink improves net loss, increases revenues

DALLAS-WebLink Wireless Inc. reported a third-quarter net loss of $24.2 million, or 60 cents per share, compared with a loss of $30.9 million, or 68 cents per share, reported after the third quarter last year.

Net revenues were $64.6 million, up from the $53.1 million during the corresponding period.

WebLink also reported 81,055 net subscriber additions for the quarter, all from its two-way Wireless Data division, while its traditional one-way paging base fell by 175,373. The company now boasts 227,864 two-way units in service and a consolidated subscriber base of 2.67 million units in service.
