HELSINKI, Finland-Nokia Corp. launched a global cooperation agreement with Andersen Consulting to help corporations and service providers build their own WAP-based solutions.
The initiative calls for the two to provide a packaged offering of wireless technologies and integration skills to Global 2000 companies and dot-coms incorporating wireless capabilities. Both are dedicating personnel, software, training and financial resources to develop intra- and inter-enterprise wireless solutions for their clients.
Nokia said it will install its new Nokia Activ Server in Andersen’s global network of Internet Centers of Excellence and Business Launch Centres. The Activ Server Suite includes new-generation WAP servers and software options targeted for businesses. It includes a WAP push engine and new security features.
