Oracle Communications announced several new contracts this week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The company said Fox Mobile Distribution, a division of Fox Mobile Group, has implemented its Billing and Revenue Management solution to improve efficiency and increase billing flexibility as it rolls out new services.
Fox Mobile Distribution offers a variety of mobile products and services, including games, video and made-for-mobile content. The country covers 38 countries on six continents. Oracle’s billing solution allows the company to incorporate a variety of payment options, product and service bundles and customer types. The solution includes real-time functionality that allows companies to minimize losses from fraud and revenue leakage.
Oracle also announced Indian mobile operator Aircel has deployed a variety of applications to assist it with its plans to grow into seven additional states and to add WiMAX services to its offerings. The carrier is using components of Oracle’s Service Fulfillment Suite, Siebel CRM, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Database and Oracle Real Application Clusters.
Earlier this month, Oracle announced Wi-tribe Pakistan Ltd., a new WiMAX carrier in Pakistan, has chosen its billing and revenue management solution as well as components of its service fulfillment suite to manage its business as it launches new WiMAX services.
