PISCATAWAY, N.J.-Centerpost Corp. announced the formation of the MessageML Forum, a not-for-profit association focused on developing an open, XML-based electronic communications specification for wireless devices.
The association is backed and managed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ Industry Standards and Technology Organization.
The idea behind the specification is to allow different messaging technologies and devices to send and receive messages with the same look and feel, formatted for each transmission system and receiving device, the group said.
