HELSINKI, Finland-Nokia Corp., in cooperation with Finland’s Helsinki Energy and Tekla Corp., introduced a WAP over TETRA service enabling real-time direct access to various customers and technical databases over wireless phones.
Helsinki Energy plans to use the network components and real-time information stored in the Xpower database product supplied by Tekla for its on-site personnel. Nokia said its TETRA service will allow WAP to be used online with minimum waiting time.
