Mexican cable operator Megacable Holdings SAB (MEGA.MX) launched its mobile virtual network operation service through an agreement with the local unit of Spain’s Telefonica SA. The move allows Megacabe to offer wireless services alongside its existing package of television, Internet and fixed-line telephony.
The MVNO service, which was originally announced last year, will operate under the Megacel brand. will be called Megacel. Megacable is based in Guadalajara, Mexico, and is the largest cable operator based on subscribers.
