Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Noochee Solutions, formerly DMW Worldwide, soon will introduce its new SmartMarket Internet marketing software solution for telecommunications service offerings.
While most customer care solutions are targeted toward the technology side of e-commerce, SmartMarket is specifically targeted toward telecommunication product marketing management departments, said Andy McGuire, director of marketing and product management at Noochee. The software can be used to manage various aspects of a company’s Internet-based business, and provide marketing managers with the information and tools they need to better connect their products with buyers.
“SmartMarket is centered around buyers and their preferences,” McGuire said.
SmartMarket’s capabilities include management of a company’s call center, business policies, product catalog and eligibility requirements of a customer. The software also allows products to be configured, payments to be managed and customer service functions to be implemented and monitored.
The software can be implemented in both consumer Web applications as well as at customer support centers, and new products easily can be added and/or removed from a company’s offerings.
“The whole idea is to make it as non-intrusive as possible,” said McGuire.
SmartMarket also supports one-time, recurring and usage-based offerings, whereas most similar applications only support one-time purchases, McGuire said. For example, SmartMarket would support digital subscriber line service or per-minute use of cellular airtime-which can change monthly-in addition to one-time purchases of items such as handsets, McGuire explained.
Noochee said the SmartMarket software costs about $1.2 million. It is slated to begin beta testing with two different carriers on April 10. A general announcement will be made at SuperComm in Atlanta on June 6, along with Cisco Systems Inc., which made a multimillion dollar investment in Noochee about four months ago.
Noochee, which is a Ute Indian word meaning “the people,” also offers another software solution called SmartComp. SmartComp, among other things, targets strategic business initiatives, automates commission payment processes and can perform predictive modeling to improve future sales.
Noochee competes with such companies as Cygent, Trilogy and Firepond.
