NASHVILLE, Tenn.-NovAtel Inc. launched its latest global positioning system receiver-OEM4-specifically targeted to systems integrators in markets including machine control, mining, agriculture, marine navigation and surveying.
NovAtel’s proprietary chip, the MINOS4, is the core technology of OEM4. Curtis Anderson, NovAtel’s OEM4 project manager, said the receiver is the smallest GPS receiver available, and it can track 12 satellites in real time and deliver 2-centimeter accuracy while consuming less than 3 watts of power.
Several models will be available in the first quarter of next year, the company said.
