Global Tower Partners acquired 549 communications towers from AT&T Inc., the company announced. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The sale includes towers in 27 states.
“The acquisition of these AT&T towers marks another major milestone in the growth of our company,” said Marc Ganzi, CEO of Global Tower Partners. “We are very excited about the prospects of this unique set of urban tower assets, as well as increasing our relationship with the wireless division of AT&T.”
RBC Daniels L.P. advised AT&T on the transaction. Neither Global Tower Partners nor AT&T Mobility responded immediately for comment.
The news comes shortly after GTP owner The Blackstone Group announced it sold the tower company for $1.4 billion to a consortium led by Macquarie Infrastructure Partners and Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group.
