TORONTO-Nortel Networks’ President Dave House plans to leave the company by the end of August.
House joined Nortel as part of the company’s acquisition of Bay Networks, where he served as chairman, chief executive officer and president. The announcement that he will leave Nortel comes on the first anniversary of Nortel’s agreement to buy Bay.
John Roth, Nortel’s vice chairman and CEO, will assume House’s operational and management responsibilities. The company said it does not plan to appoint a new president.
Nortel also announced it appointed Bill Hawe chief technology officer.
