WASHINGTON-The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association’s Wireless Foundation hosted its annual Industry Achievement Awards Dinner at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington, D.C.
The dinner brought together key leaders in the wireless industry along with members of Congress and government officials to honor outstanding people and recognize the contributions of the wireless industry to communities nationwide.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) received the 1999 Wireless Industry Achievement Award, and Federal Communications Commission Chairman William Kennard presented the 1999 Industry Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership to Arnold Pohs, chairman and chief executive officer of CommNet Cellular Inc.
