SUNNYVALE, Calif.-General Magic Inc. announced customers will be able to subscribe to the
Portico virtual assistant service from an e-commerce page on its Web site beginning Jan. 5.
The service currently is
available from telecom and Internet resellers. The online service will allow customers to choose a Portico reseller and
establish an account via the Internet, the company said.
