DALLAS-PageMart Wireless Inc. and Colombian paging provider Espectracom signed a roaming agreement to extend PageMart’s South American reach to Colombia, said PageMart. Roaming service is expected to begin early next year.
In the past year, PageMart has expanded into Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador through similar roaming agreements. With pacts already in place, the company plans to add Nicaragua, Haiti, Venezuela and Peru by the fourth quarter.
Dubbed The PageMart Network, the agreements allow customers to use their PageMart pagers and service on the same 900 MHz frequency in all partner countries.
