PRINCETON, N.J.-WolfeTech Corp. announced it will offer NewsAlert’s real-time news service to two-way pagers, wireless phones and other wireless devices equipped with the PocketGenie application.
Users who enter a company’s ticker symbol in their device will activate the NewsAlert search engine, which then retrieves the latest headlines on that company, the company said.
PocketGenie is an embedded software application that links Internet-based information to two-way wireless device platforms, such as pagers, phones and personal digital assistants.
Other applications include traffic reports, directions, phone listings, flight status, weather updates and entertainment listings, said WolfeTech.
