JACKSON, Miss.-MobileMedia Communications Inc. announced it will close its retail activation center in Jackson, Miss., and consolidate its functions at the Dallas-based call center by Oct. 31.
The move will affect 100 employees, the company said, all of whom were notified of the action June 9. According to MobileMedia spokeswoman Krista Grossman, the action is meant to improve its customer-service operations efficiency.
The company’s inventory distribution center, management information services center and retail sales operations located in Jackson will be unaffected.
