LOWELL, Mass.-National Internet service provider ZipLink L.L.C. announced it entered into a strategic alliance with Cue Data Corp. to provide full-service, nationwide Internet connectivity and specialized Internet e-mail forwarding and notification services.
Cue plans to provide turnkey Internet services to its business and residential customers on a dial-up basis using ZipLink’s ATM backbone.
Tom Schaffnit, Cue president, said the company is pursuing the handheld and palmtop personal computer markets to deliver wireless data services.
ZipLink also provides the Internet connectivity for the WebTV Network and MTX Paging Products L.L.C.-the Motorola Inc. and Timex Corp. joint venture for the Beepwear watch.
