IUSACELL STEPS UP ANTI-FRAUD EFFORTS

MEXICO CITY-Iusacell, Bell Atlantic Corp.’s Mexican communications company, announced it plans to fight cellular fraud in Latin America using Corsair Communications Inc.’s PhonePrint technology.

This is the fourth element in Iusacell’s fraud prevention plan. Last year, the company assigned personal identification numbers to its customers. It also implemented Systems/Link Corp.’s FraudTec2000 system and announced plans to invest $200 million in Code Division Multiple Access technology, citing its encryption technology.
