Neustar targets cable operators moving to all-IP networks

Neustar Inc. (NSR) is targeting cable operators with IP enablers drive to network
efficiencies, offering and improve service delivery in cable operators’ networks, offering centralized routing as cable companies migrate to all IP-based networks, much like wireless operators are doing.
Neustar said its IPenablers can help cable operators with policy analytics, optimize costs and drive performance for the voice component of cable operators’ triple play of services.
“Across the industry, we are seeing MSOs deploy IP networks to deliver blended voice,
video, and data services,” said Brian Partridge, VP of Yankee Group’s
Anywhere Network team. “As operators are increasing the number and complexity of
services offered, having a central platform for both legacy and next-generation products can simplify deployments, improve manageability, and quicken return on investment.”
Neustar’s solution includes a central numbering registry for number correction
and interconnect routing; analytics for real network business modeling; real-time routing and a route server that enables centralized addressing and routing policy database for TDM and IP-based services.
