Dear Editor:
Mr. Jeffrey Silva’s “Little LEO’s fail to secure spectrum” (Dec. 1, p.1) is one-sided and incorrect. The first line stated that the “United States failed once again to secure spectrum below 1 GHz.” The reason that the little low-earth-orbit satellites failed was based on the action of several thousand amateur radio operators (HAMS) with the help of the American Radio Relay League, which did not intend to give up any spectrum. Most, if not all of the hams, are investment brokers planning the LEOs. The ARRL would be happy to furnish you with the correct information.
