JACKSON, Miss.-SkyTel Corp. said it will introduce SkyWord Plus in the next few weeks, beginning at $25 per month for service and $10 per month to lease a Motorola Inc. PageFinder pager.
In addition to the features offered with SkyTel’s existing SkyWord service-numeric paging, personal 800-number service, text messaging and SkyNews-SkyWord Plus offers store-and-deliver, MessageMender and over-the-air programming functions. SkyWord Plus will gain access to other information services, as well.
SkyTel is offering an incentive package with its SkyWord Plus service, which includes an activation fee waiver, coupons for free basic service during months 12 and 24 of service and a two-year warranty from Motorola on the PageFinder.
Customers can purchase PageFinder for about $150.
