IRVINE, Calif.-Cox California PCS Inc. has selected Comsearch to provide radio frequency engineering and software services for its personal communications services system in the southern California and southern Nevada major trading area.
Cox plans to use cable TV infrastructure and Code Division Multiple Access technology. Comsearch provides engineering services and software to the wireless telecommunications industry, and has experience in microwave and satellite services as well.
Cox’s PCS system will be affiliated with Sprint Spectrum L.P. because Cox Cable Communications Inc. is a member of the nationwide Sprint-cable PCS venture.
