AT&T Wireless Services announced three executive positions for its North Texas/Louisiana district. Todd Felker is now director of marketing and is responsible for advertising, distribution strategy, market research and analysis, product introductions, public relations, revenue forecasting and sales planning and management. He joined the company in April 1994 as product manager of the company’s new products division.

Janice Penn “Penny” Mercer has been promoted to director of indirect sales. Mercer’s responsibilities include managing the company’s sales, service and marketing relationships with its authorized dealers. Mercer had served as director of the North Texas area since joining the company in November 1994.

Paging Network Inc. has named Kenneth Sanders senior vice president and chief financial officer. Sanders previously served as executive vice president, CFO and director of Dallas-based CellStar Corp. Prior to joining CellStar, Sanders was an audit partner with KPMG Peat Marwick.

Harris Corp.’s Farinon Division of Redwood Shores, Calif., has appointed Mort Cohen as personal communications services market manager for the North American region. Cohen will market Harris Farinon’s range of microwave radio products and telecommunications services to PCS providers in major trading areas and basic trading areas. Prior to joining Harris, Cohen held marketing positions in the instrument and microwave product lines at Teledyne.

San Jose, Calif.-based Sony Semiconductor Company of America, a unit of Sony Electronics Inc., announced it has appointed three people to executive positions. Osamu “Sam” Yokoyama is now vice president of finance. Yokoyama, a 21-year veteran of Sony, will be responsible for the company’s finance organization, including sales, marketing and engineering at the company’s San Antonio, Texas, operation.

Todd Oseth has joined the company as vice president of business development. Prior to joining Sony, Oseth served as president of Ramtron’s enhanced DRAM division. Oseth will be based in San Antonio and will support existing business development in addition to defining new opportunities and relationships.

Sony also appointed Louis Chetaud vice president of central operations. Chetaud will work to enhance and formalize the corporate infrastructure in planning/logistics, quality assurance, procurement and factory coordination. Chetaud joins Sony from National Semiconductor, where he was managing director of the Malacca, Malaysia, factory.

Chicago-based Andersen Consulting has made John Morris a partner responsible for the wireless communications industry, a part of the firm’s communications industry group. Morris will direct strategy for wireless industry clients worldwide. Previously, Morris headed the wireless industry practice in the Pacific region.
