SAN JOSE, Calif.-Digital Microwave Corp. reported net income of $2.8 million, or 20 cents per share, for the third quarter fiscal 1995, period ended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss of $25.4 million, or $2.03 per share, the same period last year.
Net sales for the quarter increased 60 percent to $48.9 million from $30.6 million for the same period in fiscal 1994.
TDS increases dividend 15th consecutive year
CHICAGO-Telephone and Data Systems Inc. declared a first quarter 1995 dividend of 95 cents per share, a 5.6 percent increase compared with the fourth quarter 1995 dividend and the 15th consecutive year for a dividend increase.
TDS’s three business units reported operational improvements. United States Cellular’s customer units in consolidated markets increased 61 percent in 1994 over year-end 1993. TDS Telecom had more than 392,000 access lines at year-end and American Paging reported more than 652,000 pagers in service, up 42 percent from year-end 1993.
Centennial reporting loss of $7.5 million for period
NEW CANAAN, Conn.-Centennial Cellular Corp., which owns and operates cellular telephone systems throughout the United States, announced a net loss of nearly $11.4 million, or 57 cents per share, for the recent quarter, ended Feb. 28. This compares with a loss of almost $6.5 million, or 79 cents per share, for the same quarter last year.
Total revenues for the quarter were more than $21.9 million, an increase of $7.5 million when compared to the same quarter one year ago.
