Sierra Wireless Inc. has purchased the assets of Junxion Inc., to build on its delivery of mobile data solutions for enterprise and government, the company said today.
Junxion is a Seattle-based, privately held company that offers managed wireless routers at 3G speeds.
Jason Cohenour, president and CEO of Sierra Wireless, said his company would blend Junxion’s technology and products into its mobile and M2M group to reach deeper into the enterprise and government data sectors.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sierra Wireless’ shares were up nearly 2% today, to $12.17 at midday, just above its 52-week low.
The Canadian company’s shares took a sharp downturn in late July when the company forecast weak sales for embedded PC modems.
