The mobile digital commerce services market reached $1.1 billion last year and is expected to grow to $1.9 billion in 2012, according to a report from MultiMedia Intelligence.
The market includes digital commerce service providers that process the financial transactions for premium content for music, video and gaming companies over carrier networks.
Digital commerce service providers’ percentage share of the premium content market will decline, but growth in new premium content categories will grow the market as a whole, said the report.
