Motorola’s Pebl pops up on T-Mobile, Slvr nowhere to be found

BELLEVUE, Wash.-T-Mobile USA Inc. has begun selling Motorola Inc.’s sleek Pebl device on its Web site for $300 with a service plan. The gadget features Bluetooth, an integrated digital camera and a smooth, nugget-like design.

Although Motorola’s Pebl has hit U.S. shores, the company’s highly anticipated Slvr is nowhere to be found. Industry analysts had expected Cingular Wireless L.L.C. to release the Slvr in time for the holiday shopping season. However, the device is not available on the carrier’s Web site.

Representatives for Cingular and Motorola declined to discuss whether the carrier would sell the device. Cingular has been promoting Motorola’s Razr phone in its recent advertisements.

Motorola had promised to sell both the Slvr and the Pebl by the end of the fourth quarter. The company has made good on its promise-the Pebl is selling through T-Mobile USA and other carriers, and the Slvr is available in Europe and India.
