HTC prepares to launch Holiday smartphone

.

Bigger is obviously better in HTC Corp.’s opinion, as the Taiwanese firm prepares to launch a whopping smartphone sporting a 4.5-inch screen, 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm Inc. Snapdragon processor, 1 gigabyte of RAM and 8-megapixel camera.

While 4.3-inch screens were last season’s “biggest” craze, HTC seems to want to go larger again, proving that size does indeed matter to consumers. The display of the so-called HTC Holiday is not just bigger, but purportedly better too, with reports it will boast qHD with a resolution of 960 x 540.

HTC is also reportedly cooking up a fresh batch of Android Gingerbread (2.3.4) for the upcoming device, set to hit AT&T shelves shortly, though as of yet there is no official word of when that will be, though the smartphone’s name may offer some indication in terms of seasonality.
