SAN JOSE, Calif.-Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications Co. Ltd. announced it will use over-the-air updating technology from InnoPath Software Inc. The technology will allow CHMC to remotely update the software in its phones.

InnoPath has signed deals with the likes of Toshiba Corp., Sanyo Corp. and others.
In other OTA news, Materna Information & Communications’ new Vistream GmbH subsidiary licensed OTA technology from Insignia Solutions Inc. Vistream will resell the technology on a hosted basis to mobile virtual network operators.

Vistream is quite happy to have identified Insignia Solutions, a clear market leader in this space, as our partner,” said Jan Geiger, vice president of business development for Vistream.
