TOKYO-NTT DoCoMo Inc. said it will begin taking orders for its Wristomo wristwatch-style PHS phone beginning May 7 exclusively through a wristomo.com Web site with customer delivery expected to take around seven working days.
The carrier said the waterproof phone would be compatible with its PHS network and accompanying Paldio E-mail service and would allow users to transfer data at up to 64 kilobits per second. In addition, the Wristomo is equipped for DoCoMo’s Location-based Web Sites service and can automatically exchange data with a personal computer.
The phone is expected to sell for $313 and includes a battery charger, cushioned pad and adjustable wristband.
